Industry Veteran Robin Weckesser to Serve as President of New Project Management Consulting Group: a3 Workplace Strategies

Industry veteran Robin Weckesser recently announced the launch of a3 Workplace Strategies, a workplace consulting group based in San Jose. Weckesser will serve as President of the new firm, which includes his team from Cresa, which was acquired by Savills Studley last year.

An accomplished commercial real estate executive, Weckesser has over 30 years of local, national, and international experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, and architecture. During his career, he has managed construction of projects totaling over 4.5 million square feet and real estate transactions in excess of one million square feet, working with construction budgets exceeding $300 million. His clients include technology and life sciences leaders such as Alibaba, Nimble Storage, Palo Alto Networks, New Relic, and Service Max.

He specializes in strategic planning, lease negotiation, workplace design, space planning, corporate security, project administration, and construction and design management.

Previously, Weckesser was Managing Principal of Cresa‘s Bay Area Project Management (PM) consulting practice for nearly nine years. Under his leadership, Cresa’s PM group grew to have one of the highest ratios of project managers to brokers in the Bay Area.

Prior to that, Weckesser held senior director-level positions leading real estate and facilities organizations with Bay Area corporations, including Apple, Incyte Pharmaceuticals, and PointCast, Inc.

Weckesser is a widely published author and a speaker at industry functions. A resident of San Jose, he graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master’s of Arts in Organizational Management and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.
